Best Sledding Spots In Lake, McHenry Counties: Survey

You tell us: Where are the best places to sled in and around Lake and McHenry counties?

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — It's going to be bitterly cold starting tonight and continuing into early Saturday but then the Lake and McHenry County area will start to see much milder temps.

Following last weekend's snowfall, temps have been seesawing, with many days that have been too uncomfortably cold to go out and enjoy playing in the snow: sledding, ice skating and winter hikes.

But this weekend looks like the perfect time to get out in the snow, with a high of 33 degrees and mostly sunny skies in the forecast on Saturday and a high of 35 degrees and mostly cloudy skies on Sunday.
