Bicyclist Killed In Barrington Hills Hit-And-Run
Authorities are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash Friday night.

BARRINGTON HILLS, IL – Authorities are searching for the driver accused in a hit and run crash in Barrington Hills that left a bicyclist dead Friday night, police said. Police were called to the scene of the fatality at 10:01 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that hit a 28-year-old Schiller Park man who was riding his bicycle on Route 59 south of Route 68. The rider was thrown several feet from the bicycle and not responsive when authorities arrived, according to a news release from the Barrington Hills Police Department.
The vehicle left the scene before authorities arrived.
Emergency medical assistance was provided at the scene by Barrington Countryside Fire and Lake Zurich Fire Departments. Barrington and South Barrington Police and Hanover Township ESDA also provided assistance.

The man thrown from the bike died following the collision, authorities said.
Authorities are continuing to search for the driver and vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run crash. They have developed information that shows the offending vehicle could be a 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV or a Toyota Tundra pick-up truck The truck could be 2007 or newer, according to the news release.
