Blaze Breaks Out At Daycare Center In Algonquin
The cause of the Tuesday fire at the Kiddie Academy on Harnish Road remains under investigation.
ALGONQUIN, IL — No one was injured after a fire broke out at Kiddie Academy daycare center in Algonquin on Tuesday, fire officials said.
More than 100 children and staff members were evacuated from the child care center at 2420 Harnish Drive, according to Shaw Local Media.
Fire crews responded and put the blaze, which was reported in a utility room on the southern portion of the building, in less than 10 minutes, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the daycare center is currently uninhabitable.
