Blaze Damages Algonquin Home

ALGONQUIN, IL — No one was injured in a house fire Saturday in Algonquin, authorities said. The blaze broke out at 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Parkview Terrace in Algonquin, according to a news release from the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District.

A resident found the fire and was able to evacuate the home before firefighters arrived. Fire crews first at the scene found the fire on the second floor of the home.

Authorities said the cause of the fire was accidental but remains under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
