Algonquin Commons Restaurant Has Closed
A Tex-Mex chain's Algonquin restaurant closed about a year after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
ALGONQUIN, IL — The On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina in Algonquin has permanently closed, about a year after the Tex-Mex chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The restaurant inside Algonquin Commons served its final customers Friday, according to the Daily Herald. Pappas Restaurants, which recently acquired the On The Border brand, said the closure will allow the company to focus resources on other locations and the chain’s future success.
