EAST DUNDEE, IL -- East Dundee has recently added two new restaurants and a brewery to its downtown lineup. Black and Gray Brewing Company, 311 Barrington Avenue, opened last month and has been drawing crowds since. Right next door, Migrate, offers a “contemporary American dining establishment with an elevated, evolving menu,” according to the restaurant’s website.

Migrate opened in late February.

And a couple steps down the street, right next to the Fox River Trail bike path, is the quaint and cozy Mockingbird restaurant, which opened in November.

Kathleen Bergeron, of West Dundee, bought the building, gutted it and is drawing a steady flow of customers for the restaurant’s wood fire pizzas, cocktails and friendly atmosphere.

“I really wanted this to be a place where people could meet, and even if they came by themselves, can sit at the bar and feel comfortable,” Bergeron told Patch.
