Brubaker, Marley Earn Silver at Figure Skating Championship

Rockne Brubaker and his partner, Mary Beth Marley of Downers Grove, placed second at this weekend's U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Rockne Brubaker of Algonquin and his skating partner, Mary Beth Marley of Downers Grove, placed second over the weekend in the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose, Calif.

The duo took home the silver behind the champions of this year's pairs competition, Caydee Denney and John Coughlin, according to a U.S. Figure Skating press release. 

Coughlin became the first man in U.S. history to win back-to-back gold medals with two different partners, according to the news release.

Brubaker and Marley have skated two seasons together. 

Brubaker and Marley came in fourth place in the pairs figure skating competition during the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championship. Read more about  in our Lake in the Hills Patch coverage.
