The new restaurant will be located in the building that formerly housed Niko's Lodge.

ALGONQUIN, IL – A new restaurant known also for its wide variety of craft beers will be opening this Friday at the Algonquin Commons. Bulldog Ale House will be housed in a location at 1520 S. Randall Road that has seen its fair share of restaurant turnover in recent years. The building was home to Niko's Lodge and before that, Barley House, which shut its doors in 2011.
Bulldog Ale House will officially open at 11 a.m. on Oct. 6.
Bulldog currently has nine different locations in the Chicago area, including restaurants in McHenry, Aurora, Carol Stream, Roselle, Rolling Meadows, Bolingbrook and Chicago.

"We typically like to go into cities that kind of jell with what we do as a concept," Paul Marrin, director of operations, told the Daily Herald. "Algonquin is such a great town, and there's a lot of restaurants around here that are doing really well, so we thought our concept would fit well with this area."
Menu items include pizza, sandwiches, salads, soups, wings and more.
