Springbrook Community Church invites residents of Algonquin and surrounding areas to a relaxed afternoon of connection and conversation at Towne Park on Sunday, June 14, from 2–4 PM.
The Algonquin Community Gathering is designed to bring neighbors together and create space for meaningful community in a welcoming outdoor setting. Free snacks will be provided, and all ages are invited to attend.
Everyone is welcome — families, individuals, and newcomers alike.

The workdays are changing.&nbsp; Bring gloves only as we will be pulling invasive weeds.&nbsp; Snacks will be provided at breaktime.&nbsp; Garlic mustard and other weeds once dominated many of our woodland's understory.&nbsp; With brush management and controlled burns, we have greatly reduced the population of these weeds. So it's very important that we continue our efforts to eradicate these aggressive weeds.&nbsp; Hope you can join us for this important work.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lucky Strike Algonquin

Cary-Grove Freemasons will host its 8th annual car show on Sunday, May 24 at Lucky Strike Bowling off Randall and County Line Roads.Admission is free. Entry fee for car participants is $20.
The event will be taking place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Car registration will be 9:30 a.m. to noon.
They welcome all makes, models of motorcycles and trucks. Car and motorcycle clubs are welcome.
More than 50 trophies will be awarded in many classes. A 50/50 raffle will be held.
There will be music by Cruisin' Music Radio DJ Rudy K. Food and drinks will be on sale.
