Each year, the National PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme.
The program is one of the largest student arts recognition programs in the country and allows children to learn to look at things, people and experiences in a fresh and exciting way, as well as helps parents to encourage and to recognize the continuous self-discovery process through their children.
Based on this year’s theme, “Diversity means …”, students at Chesak and Martin elementary schools expressed themselves through dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, or the visual arts — drawing, painting, print-making, and collage.
