Cold Days Ahead as Algonquin, LITH Head Into New Year

Be sure to bundle up as you head out the door on Tuesday.

Temps will begin to drop off Monday night into Tuesday morning with temperatures as low as 12 degrees in Algonquin and wind chill values as 1 in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service

On Tuesday, Algonquin should see mostly sunny skies and high of 17 degrees and wind chill values could be as low as -1 degrees. Tuesday night will be especially chilly with temps expected to reach a low of 4 and wind chill values as low as -12.

Heading into New Year’s Eve, it won’t be much warmer. A high of 17 degrees is expected in Algonquin and wind chill values could be as low as -12. A low of 13 is expected New Year’s Eve night.

A high near 28 and mostly sunny skies is in the forecast for New Year’s Day.
