Congressman Raja Supports Implementation of Airplane Safety Act
Congressman Krishnamoorthi signs onto letter calling for the full implementation of the Saracini Aviation Act of 2017
WASHINGTON, DC- Congressman Krishnamoorthi has signed on to a letter by Congressman Andre Carson (IN-7) and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1), requesting the full and immediate implementation of the Saracini Aviation Safety Act of 2017. Though the law has been in place since 2017, it has not been fully implemented, putting passengers and pilots at risk. The letter specifically calls for the installation of a secondary cockpit barrier on all newly-constructed aircrafts operating as passenger air carriers in the United States. This secondary barrier protects the cockpit when one member of the pilot crew is out of the cockpit.
