Construction on New Bike Path in Algonquin Could Start This Fall

If funding is approved next week, the village plans to move forward with the proposed bike path on Harper Drive.

Construction could start this fall on a bike path along Harper Drive in Algonquin if the village approves funding for the project, the Daily Herald reports.

The Committee of the Whole on Tuesday requested the village appropriate $185,000 in motor fuel tax funds for the proposal, which calls for a path that would run along Harper Drive from Edgewood Drive to Kenneth E. Neubert Elementary School, according to the article.

The path would then connect to a trail on Huntigton Drive, which would link up with the Fox River Trail, the newspaper reports.
