Coroner IDs Motorcyclist Killed In Huntley Collision

The three-vehicle crash happened Saturday on Route 47 at Conley Road in Huntley.

HUNTLEY, IL — A 41-year-old motorcyclist killed Saturday in a three-vehicle collision in Huntley has been identified as Daniel Ordoqui of Chicago.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Ordoqui died from blunt force injuries, according to a news release from the McHenry County Coroner's Office. Toxicology is currently pending.

The collision happened at about 9:30 a.m. when a 2008 Mini Cooper S, driven by a 17-year-old, was headed south on Route 47 at Conley Road and was stopped at a stop sign. A 2015 Subaru Forester, also headed south on Route 47, failed to stop and collided into the back of the Mini Cooper, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

This caused the Mini Cooper to spin into a 1997 Kawasaki VN800, which was northbound on Route 47, and the motorcyclist, who was later identified as Ordoqui, was thrown from his motorcycle.

The driver of the Subaru, a 71-year-old Woodstock man; the motorcyclist; and the driver of the Mini Cooper were all transported by ambulance to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley.

Ordoqui was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the cars sustained minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and is being investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
