Coroner Release Autopsy Results In Death Of Worker In Huntley
Joseph Zephries, 20, of Huntley died after being hit by a car while working for a utility company on Main Street in Huntley last week.
HUNTLEY, IL — McHenry County Coroner's Office officials say blunt force trauma caused the death of a 20-year-old man who was hit by a car while working along Main Street in Huntley last week, according to preliminary results from the man's autopsy.
Joseph Zephries, of Huntley, was hit by the car while working for a utility company at the intersection of Main Street and Coyne Station Road at about 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 8, according to police. Zephries was taken to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a 27-year-old Chicago man, is cooperating with a probe into the collision, and it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, police said.
