Crystal Lake Home Deemed Uninhabitable Following Monday Night Fire

No one was injured in a Monday night fire at a Crystal Lake home.
The home at 1088 Amberwood Drive in Crystal Lake has been deemed uninhabitable due to wall and roof damage following the fire that was reported at 7:18 p.m. Monday, according to a Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department press release.
Firefighters first arriving at the scene found smoke and flames coming from the exterior wall of the single-family home and fire officials concluded the blaze likely started outside the home.

A neighbor notified the family that was inside of the home about the blaze and everyone was able to get out safely, according to the news release.
The blaze remains under investigation by the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department and the Crystal Lake Police Department.
