Crystal Lake South Football Player Flown to Hospital

Linebacker Alex Gardeck is being checked to see if his trachea could have been partially torn, according to the Northwest Herald.

Crystal Lake South linebacker Alex Gardeck was flown to a suburban hospital for tests on his trachea following a game this past weekend in Chicago Heights, according to the Northwest Herald.

Gardeck was hit in the chest but played through the rest of the game before complaining of a sore throat following the game, according to the article. He was taken locally for a check-up and then flown to Advocate Lutheran Hospital in Park Ridge where he was expected to undergo further testing, the Northwest Herald reports.
