A Culver's franchise owner is aiming to bring a new restaurant to Lake in the Hills.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A new Culver's could be coming soon to Lake in the Hills.
A Culver's franchise owner is looking to buy the building that formerly housed Woods Creek Tavern, at 251 N. Randall Road. Woods Creek Tavern closed in August after six years in business.
The Lake in the Hills Village Board has voted to approve a conditional use permit to allow Culver's to add drive-thru facilities to the building. The owner also plans to upgrade the exterior and interior.

Meanwhile, Woods Creek Tavern owner Dave Abraham told Shaw Media he's happy to see the newowners take over, adding that they are "similar to us" and "seemed like they'll continue the Woods Street Tavern ways." He's hoping to open a new Woods Creek Tavern in the next year but is not sure where or when.
The Culver's franchise owner is hoping to complete the purchase of the building in October with hopes of having the new restaurant open for business by January, according to village board documents.
