D158 Introduces New Delayed Start Option for Snow Days

All schools will operate with a modified bell schedule in which all classes will be held in a shortened time frame, school officials said.

HUNTLEY, IL — District 158 has added a new delayed start option for potential use when winter weather strikes, school officials announced in recent weeks. The delayed start schedule will delay all bus route pickups and school start times by two hours.

All schools will operate with a modified bell schedule in which all classes will be held in a shortened time frame, according to District 158.

"This option was added after our families expressed strong support for it via survey late last school year," according to a District 158 news release.
