The Veterans Memorial project has been ongoing since the village board gave their support to the project in August of 2013. Groundbreaking took place on Veterans Day of November 2014.

The project has received generous donations from numerous businesses, organizations, and individuals alike, according to the village of LITH. Additionally, commemorative bricks for the plaza were available for purchase that could be engraved with a unique message to honor a Veteran, friend, family member, or organization in a lasting and memorable way.

The Veterans Memorial Committee will continue to accept commemorative brick purchases until the memorial plaza is full. Bricks that were purchased before Sept. 1, 2015 will be installed in time for the dedication ceremony.

Donations can be made on the LITH Veterans Memorial website.
