LITH Business Updates: New Burger Joint Comes to Town, Swim School to Open Soon on Randall
The Thornton's gas station has underwent an interior and exterior facelift and an expansion project is underway at Butcher on the Block.

The village of Lake in the Hills has a couple new businesses that recently opened up shop while others are planning renovations and to open soon.
D.M. Prime Burgers Opens
DM Prime Burgers, located at 9441 Ackman Road, opened in August. The new restaurant serves burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, steak fries and drink options, including alcoholic beverages, according to Yelp.com.

Thornton's Undergoes Facelift
Thornton’s, at 2265 W. Algonquin Road, has undergone an exterior, and interior facelift. The convenience store and gas station has new signage and service pump upgrades following the construction this past summer. In addition to the remodeling, Thornton's has also expanded their food and beverage selections, according to the village of Lake in the Hills business insider e-mail update.

Bear Paddle Swim School Coming to Randall Road
Construction is currently underway for the swimming pool installation at Bear Paddle Swim School, which will be located at 307 Randall Road. The swim school is anticipating an opening this fall or winter.

Bear Paddle specializes in year round swim lessons at a kid-friendly facility for children of all ages and abilities. Offering easy online registration, engaging swim lessons, and a dedicated team, the Bear Paddle experience is truly one-of-a-kind, according to the Bear Paddle website. The warm saltwater pool and sophisticated pool sanitation system provide a comfortable and clean swimming atmosphere.

Butcher on the Block Plans Expansion Project
An expansion project at Butcher on the Block, located at 4600 W. Algonquin Road, is underway, according to the village of LITH business insider.

The businesses occupies about 1,600 square feet and will be adding much more to grow its total space to 4,300 square feet. The new space would allow for a new dining area and more space for employees to work, according to the Northwest Herald.
“After construction is complete, we’re going to reanalyze our business, possibly open for breakfast, change around hours and figure out how late we’d be open,” deli owner Tom Yucuis told the Northwest Herald.
