Babysitter & First Aid Class

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District is offering a Babysitter First Aid and Safety Class designed for students between the ages of 11 and 14. This program, delivered by Department Firefighters, will be offered in 3 modules. Participants will be able to participate in one or all of the modules depending on their needs. This is a medically accurate, hands-on class.

Students will learn:

  • Infant, Child, and Adult CPR
  • Infant, Child, and Adult Blocked Airway (conscious and unconscious)
  • Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Injury Prevention
  • Simple First Aid

Courses taught by Licensed Paramedics and CPR instructors

  • Option #1 - $55.00

              CPR Certification

              9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

              ** American Heart CPR card is provided upon successful completion

  • Option #2 - $15.00

              First Aid and Safety Class

              1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

              ** Certificate of completion is provided

  • Option #3 - $75.00

              9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

              ** Lunch, snacks, CPR card and certificate of completion   are provided.
