The McHenry County Sheriff's Office is holding the IDNR Snowmobile Safety Certification Course for children ages 12 and up and anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of snowmobile safety, with or without a driver's license.
The class will teach snowmobile maintenance and repair, safe and proper operation, first aid and state laws. To receive a State of Illinois Certificate of Competency, participants must complete eight hours of instruction and successfully complete the final exam.
