The Village of Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department will dedicate its newest park, Linda K. Fischer Park, on Thursday, October 6 at 6:00pm. The park is located at 5962 Grafton Farm Drive.
Linda Fischer was a resident of Lake in the Hills for 32 years. During her residency she volunteered for many organizations including; LITH Women’s League, Boy Scout Troop 369, LITH Historical Society, and the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association.
Linda was also President of the LITH Citizen’s Police Academy, was the Village’s first Information Officer, and named Outstanding Citizen. After receiving a heart transplant in 2000, she volunteered for the Gift of Hope organization, promoting organ donation in Illinois.
