The Algonquin Area Public Library hosts an afternoon of art and discussion with Jeanine Hill-Soldner, the artist of the exhibit "Portraits of American Veterans: A Continuing Dialogue," on display at the library during January and February 2011. Some veterans who are portrayed in the paintings will also be on hand to share their stories. This event is open to the public.
