Fatal Rollover Crash Reported Near Hampshire
Authorities say a driver was killed after a vehicle rolled into a ditch along Route 72 early Saturday morning
HAMPSHIRE, IL — One person was killed in a rollover crash early Saturday near Hampshire, according to fire officials.
Emergency crews were dispatched at about 3:35 a.m. on Sunday to the area of Illinois Route 72 and Romke Road for a reported vehicle accident, according to the Hampshire Fire Protection District.
When first responders arrived, they found a single vehicle in a ditch that had rolled over, officials said. The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
