Feedback On Algonquin Founders Days Festival Sought

A town hall meeting will be held via Zoom next week where residents can share their thoughts on how to improve the fest.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin Founders' Days volunteer committee will host a town hall meeting, which will be open to the public for suggestions on what they'd like to keep the same, and what they'd like to change, for next year's festival.

After receiving a lot of feedback regarding this past summer's festival — "some good, some bad ... and everything in between" — the Algonquin Founders Days volunteer committee decided to host the town hall meeting to hear directly from residents, according to a post on the Algonquin Founders Days Facebook page.

The meeting will be held via Zoom from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 17. You can attend the meeting by visiting here.

Committee volunteers will also share with residents how they come to their decisions regarding the festival "so there is complete transparency in the entire planning process," according to the Facebook post.

"Hear about what you can do to help us for next year....with as little or as much involvement as you...the community can help us out. This is the meeting to get it all out on the table...and to help make Founders' 2024 the best year it can be," according to the Facebook post.
