Former LITH Woman Accused Of Threatening State's Attorney
Michelle Cappello is accused of posting threatening Facebook posts directed at McHenry County State's Attorney Randi Freese.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a former Lake in the Hills woman who is accused of threatening to harm McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese in a Facebook post, according to court records.
Police say Michelle Cappello, whose legal address is listed as a mental health facility in Robbins, tagged Freese’s profile and wrote violent threats, later commenting that she “still meant it," Shaw Local is reporting
The complaint also alleges she made similar posts aimed at former State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally, and that Cappello admitted to making the online threats. Cappello has a prior criminal history, including previous drug convictions and a 2024 supervision order tied to threats andproperty damage, authorities say.
