Foster Homes Needed for 4/22!

Can we crash at your house for awhile?

It’s Spring….and that means our shelter partners overflowing with unwanted dogs and puppies!

Safe Haven Dog Rescue does not have a physical location and the dogs in our program rely upon the generosity of families that open their homes to provide a temporary Safe Haven. We can only save as many dogs as we have foster homes. Every week we have to turn away hundreds of requests to accept dogs into our adoption program.

The dogs pictured have the chance to come to Illinois on April 22nd, but we need committed foster homes to make that happen.

Dottie- female terrier mix, 1 year old, and about 20 lbs. This little one had to be somebody's baby...she is happy when she is being held and loved...and cries when she has to go back to her kennel :( She just needs a family of her own to love. She is "light" heart worm positive and Safe Haven will provide all treatment.

Dipsey- Adorable female, hound/heeler mix. She is approximately 8 months old and weighs 29lbs. Plays well with other dogs and and loves ALL people!

Ol' Red - He's not so old (about 2), and he is as sweet a hound you will ever meet. He loves all humans, dogs, and is even cat friendly! He is looking for his chance to get OUT of the shelter and find his forever family.

Iris - Female Lab mix, Approximately 3 years old. Iris is a wonderful girl that wants nothing more than to have her belly rubbed. In fact, it's hard to get good pictures of her because she is always wagging her tail and showing her belly for a pet.

She is a little on the FLUFFY side at 67lbs. and could use some walks to help her regain her girlish figure. We are told she is probably the sweetest dog at the shelter and she would love a chance to come to Illinois and find her forever family. She would be such a perfect companion! She is heartworm NEGATIVE!

Wagner - 1 Year Old Hound Mix. HW Negative!

Wagner is said to be super sweet and loving. He is in a shelter in Tennessee and would love to come to Illinois on 4/22. Could he crash at your house for awhile while he finds his forever family?

Murphy (male), Miya (Female), Meeka, and Moses - This is a family of 4 that were abandoned at the shelter. Dad is a Golden Mix, Mom is a Dutch Shepher Mix and the puppies are ADORABLE!. Looking for 3 to 4 fosters for this family. One each for Mom and Dad, and one or 2 for the puppies.
