Funds Raised For Family Of Teen Killed In Crash

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Funds are being raised for the parents of a 19-year-old Harvard man who was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Route 14 near Woodstock last week.

The man, who has been identified as Diego Gonzalez Mendoza, 19, of Harvard, was flown to Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside in Rockford in critical condition following the Feb. 12 crash and died later that day, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help support Mendoza's parents and has brought in more than $1,800 so far. Those interestedin donating can do so here.
