ALGONQUIN, IL — A portion of Route 31 has been closed in between Algonquin and Carpentersville because of a gas main leak. The Algonquin Police Department reported the roadway was closed between Miller Road and Lundstrom Lane, according to a Nixle alert sent at about 11 a.m. Monday.
Southbound Route 31 traffic is being re-routed at Edgewood Drive.
