Grocery Chain Buys Former Dominick's Store in Crystal Lake

The 66,000-square-foot former Dominick’s location in Crystal Lake has a new owner but its unclear at this point what business, or businesses, will occupy the building.

Northlake-based Farmers Best Market LLC has purchased the former Domincik’s grocery store at 5340 Route 14 for $3.2 million and originally planned to open a new Farmer Best Market store in the location, the Northwest Herald reports. The chain currently has stores in Northlake and Chicago.

That plan has since shifted and the company is now looking to find tenants to rent the space, according to the newspaper.
