Hit And Run; Drug Charges: Algonquin Police Blotter

A look at recent arrests made by the Algonquin Police Department.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The following information comes from the Algonquin Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the McHenry County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Taylor M. Madden, 21, of the 6900 block of North Osceola Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Stonegate Road and Tracy Lane in Algonquin. She was charged with driving while license revoked and speeding. She was later released with a court date in McHenry County.

Mario Guerra, 54, of Hillside, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on Friday at Route 31 and Huntington Drive and charged with speeding and no insurance. He was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.

George W. Heine, 64, of the 100 block of Ridge Road in Carpentersville, was arrested at about 4 p.m. on Friday and charged with speeding and no insurance. He was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.

Ezekial D. Bilen, 18, of the 1200 block of Promontory Drive in Pingree Grove, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. on Friday at Division Street and Route 31 and charged with speeding. Bilen was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.

Jorge Bahena, 22, of the 4000 block of Wilcox Avenue in Bellwood, was arrested at Legion Drive and Huntington Drive at 9:36 p.m. on Friday and charged with speeding. He was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.

Erick H. Aguilar, 24, of Des Plaines, was taken into custody at 11:36 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Elgin Police Department and charged with two counts of domestic battery. He was then transported to the Algonquin Police Department to await Kane County Bond Call.

Luciano A. Arriaga, 28, of the 200 block of Route 52 in Mendota, was arrested at 3:44 a.m. at Route 31 and Beach Drive on Sept. 25 and charged with hit and run, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, driving while license suspended, no insurance and wanted on a warrant out of LaSalle County. He was later transported to the McHenry County Jail.

Richard J. Tyler, 3o, of the 0 to 100 block of Middlesex Drive #18 in Carpentersville, was arrested in the 400 block of South Randall Road just before 3 p.m. on Sept. 25 and charged with retail theft. He was released with a court date in McHenry County.

Sofia Estrada, 26, of the 100 block of Golfview Lane in Carpentersville, was arrested just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 24 at Timberland Lane and Cumberland Parkway and charged with possession of marijuana, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, failure to reduce speed, driving while license revoked, and obstruction of justice. Kim was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Jessica A. Schulz, 37, of Cary, was arrested just before 3 a.m. on Sept. 20 and charged with four counts of domestic battery. She as taken into custody on Route 22 in Barrington and then taken to the McHenry County Jail.

James Y. Kim, 37, of the 900 block of Valewood Road in Bartlett, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Timberland Lane and Cumberland Parkway and charged with possession of marijuana, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, failure to reduce speed, driving while license revoked and obstruction of justice. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail.
