Housing Development To Replace Golf Course In Algonquin
The Terrace Hill Golf Course will become the Trails of Woods Creek subdivision.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Work has began to transform the former Terrace Hill Golf Course into a new housing development in Algonquin. Last month, tree removal got underway on the property, which is located on the south side of Algonquin Road west of Fairway Drive.
Pulte Home Corporation is heading the project, which will include 278 residential units within the newly named Trails of Woods Creek residential subdivision, according to the village of Algonquin website. Village officials say 35 acres of park land and trails will be added as will walking paths, and wetlands will be enhanced.
During the initial phase of construction, crews will focus on site grading and tree removal. There are 145 trees at the site that will be "preserved" with more than 1,000 trees still remaining on the property once the development is complete.
