Huntley Community School District 158 Reminder: No School Feb. 11-15

A teacher institute day and Presidents' Day led to the break.

This is a friendly reminder that there is no school on February 11, 12, or 15.

As previously communicated, we will be hosting an Institute Day for our staff tomorrow (February 11) in conjunction with a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for educators from throughout McHenry County. The Institute Day was originally scheduled for February 16, which will be a student attendance day (Group A Day for secondary).

February 12 was already a scheduled day of non-attendance, and schools and offices are closed on February 15 for Presidents Day.

As noted in the update, if your family has existing plans for February 16, please do not change your plans. Rather, please call your school to have this day counted as an excused absence.

Please read the update that was sent to all families on February 1 for more details as well as additional implications on student attendance in the coming weeks. Thank you again for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this untraditional school year together!
