Huntley High, Police Investigate Threat Made On Tip Line
The school was not placed on lockdown and authorities determined the threat is unsubstantiated.

HUNTLEY, IL – Police responded to Huntley High School Wednesday – which was at least the second time in a month – to investigate a threat reported to the school through an anonymous tip line, school officials said Wednesday. The school was not placed on lockdown and authorities determined the threat is unsubstantiated. But parents and students were made aware of the incident since police were expected to be in the high school through the day on Wednesday to investigate, Principal Scott Rowe said in a letter to Huntley High families.
"The investigation may include interviews with students as we continue to take every precaution to ensure the safety of all students," Rowe said.
School officials were not sharing any details into the nature of the report as of Wednesday afternoon.

The reported threat comes just weeks after Huntley High was placed on lockdown on Jan. 18 when two live bullets were found in a hallway at the school. Huntley police officers responded and determined there was no imminent threat to safety. That case has since been closed, the Northwest Herald reports.
