ALGONQUIN, IL - Just over a year after construction was completed on Algonquin’s $88.5 million Western Bypass, IDOT crews are fixing crumbling concrete on a portion of a bridge over Route 62 , according to the Daily Herald. The fix is aesthetic in nature and the concrete, which has started to break, does not hang over traffic and is not posing a risk to motorists.
Village President John Schmitt said it is normal for crews to make a couple tweaks following large construction projects, the newspaper reports.
