IL C.O.P.S. Honor Fallen Officers In Bike Ride

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Members of the Illinois Council of Police, which is made up of current and former police officers and supporters of law enforcement, biked across McHenry County on SUnday, making stops to read memorials regarding officers who died while on duty. The group made a stop at the Algonquin Police Department where a memorial statement was read about Algonquin Police Department Officer Larry Holder who died on July 22, 1982, while trying to rescue a man who fell into a stream during flooding, according to a Facebook post from the Algonquin Police Department.
