Cornish Park, Downtown Algonquin
At the intersection of Route 62 and South Harrison Street (at the dam)

It’s Our River Day, a statewide celebration, is free to the public. The event aims to educate residents about how they can help preserve and protect natural resources. Free, family-fun, with groups welcome!

Lots to do and see all afternoon…
• MCCD will bring a live native animal to visit
• ALITH Fire District will demonstrate a water rescue
• Ride in a canoe
• Hear brief talks by local environmental groups
• Stand up paddling demonstration
• Meet people from environmental and outdoor groups, government and “green” businesses
• Find information, volunteer opportunities, and kids activities
• Celebrate the beautiful Fox River
• Participate with the River clean-up
• Enjoy beautiful Downtown Algonquin
