Addresses of Homes in Halloween Decorating Contest Now Available

Judges were out in Lake in the Hills Thursday night deciding which applicant in the yearly Halloween House Decorating Contest showcases the cheeriest and creepiest decorations.

Lake in the Hills hosts the annual event and awards Lake in the Hills restaurant gift certificates to homeowners whose Halloween decorations judges deem the "scariest" and the "cheeriest," Department of Parks and Recreation Director Trudy Wakeman said. The judging started at 6 p.m. Thursday.

"We typically get a pretty good turnout," Wakeman said.

The following homes were involved in this year's contest:

• 5733 Foxfield Lane
• 4660 Mackinac St.
• 4 Hadden Court
• 135 Hilltop Drive
• 5 Woodland Road
• 922 Brandt Drive
• 15 Linden St.
• 340 S. Annandale Drive
