Lake In The Hills Administrator Resigns; Interim Admin Picked
The Lake in the Hills Village Board has appointed Fred Mullard as the interim village administrator.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL —Jennifer Clough, village administrator for Lake in the Hills, has stepped down from her post. The village announced Clough's resignation in a statement released Friday but did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding her decision to do so.
Meanwhile, the Lake in the Hills Village Board has appointed Community Services Director Fred Mullard as the interim village administrator, according to the statement from the village of Lake in the Hills.
In 2001, Mullard joined the village as the deputy public works director and the airport manager. He was promoted to public works director in 2005 and held the position until February of 2018 when he became the first director of the newly created community services division.

As the community services director, he has managed the community development and recreation divisions, according to the statement.
Mullard represents the village on the McHenry County hazard mitigation plan committee and the public transportation advisory committee, and he formerly represented the village on the county’s stormwater technical advisory committee.

Before joining the village, Mullard served 24 years in the U.S. Air Force as a civil engineering officer in various positions around the world.
