Lake In The Hills Preps For Holiday Events
From a holiday house decorating contest to the village's Flurry Fest, there will be plenty of holiday fun to check out in LITH.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The village of Lake in the Hills is starting to prep for the holidays with a variety of fun events planned for families.
The village's recreation team will host Flurry Fest on Dec. 9. Attendees can stroll through the island of misfit toys on the walkway behind village hall, 600 Harvest Gate in Lake in the Hills, during the event. Rudolph, Yukon Cornelius and Abdominable Snowman sightings should keep your family entertained while you make your way to visit Santa.
Families will also will want to mark their calendars for a Cookies with Mr. and Mrs. Claus event on Dec. 17 at village hall, 600 Harvest Gate. Mrs. Claus will read stories and families can sip hot chocolate and eat cookies while listening to the story. Santa Claus will make a special visit as well.

Those planning over the top light displays may want to sign up for for the village's holiday house decorating contest. Judging for the event will be held on Dec. 15 to 18. Residents wishing to see the displays can sign up for the holiday lights bus tour, which will run Dec. 15 to 17.
