As a family man and business man living in Lake in the Hills, I understand and share the concerns of everyday life in our Village and its financial future. I believe I can make a difference in the future of our Village while maintaining the professionalism this community deserves.

What will be your single most important priority if you get elected? What are the top three issues facing Lake in the Hills residents?

My top goal is to help increase economic growth and commercial involvement, increasing commercial revenue to keep our Village strong and our tax base stable.

The top three issues residents have expressed [to me] are sidewalks and street lights in areas that don’t have them. In talking to residents, local jobs are important, not only for themselves but their children—through high school and beyond.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I have managed corporations, companies and people. I know how to deal with all of the details and make sure things get done. I believe with my extensive business management and corporate board experience—40 years and 20 years respectively, I am the best person to do the job.

What is your favorite thing about Lake in the Hills?

It’s a good place to live and raise a family.

What is your least favorite thing about Lake in the Hills?

I really don’t have a least favorite thing. I believe the Village is well run.

What does Lake in the Hills need to do to attract more businesses and retail in the future?

The village needs to go get it. Business is not just going to fall in our lap. A more aggressive effort needs to be made. It is my number one mission.

Do you support a Continuous Flow Intersection at Randall and Algonquin roads? Why or why not?

No. I believe it will hurt the businesses at the intersection as the entry and exits will be harder to access than they are already. I also believe that continuous flow at that intersection will cause accidents and will be unsafe for the public due to people trying to enter the businesses.

What improvements, if any, would you like to see in the way village government is run in Lake in the Hills?

Transparency, transparency, transparency. Additionally, based on comments I have heard while campaigning, I believe the permit rates and procedures need to be reviewed.
