LITH to Host New Holiday Market at This Year’s Festival of Trees

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL - The village of Lake in the Hills will host a Holiday Market at this year’s Festival of Trees and is currently seeking vendors interested in selling their goods at the the upcoming market.

The first-ever Holiday Market will be held during the 15th Annual Festival of Trees on Dec. 2. The festival includes a lighting ceremony, which will be led by Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6 p.m. at the Lake in the Hills Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate.

Following the tree lighting, spectators can cast their “vote” for their favorite tree by placing non-perishable food and household items in the bins located inside village hall. All items collected at the event will be donated to local food pantries.

For $75, local business can be a part of the event by sponsoring a holiday tree that is already covered with hundreds of lights, according to a news release. The village offers Honor Trees, a beautiful way to remember someone during the holiday season – birthdays, anniversaries, soldiers serving our country, honor roll members, as well as those dearly departed, are a few of the ways friends and family may be honored or remembered.

The village provided the following information for those interested in sponsoring a tree:

You can decorate your tree with a theme of your choice, or sponsor a tree and we will pair you up with a non-profit organization that will decorate. Your business name will be prominently posted in front of your tree, giving you community-wide recognition. In addition, several press releases recognizing our sponsors will be sent to local newspapers. To participate, simply fill out the sponsorship form (found on www.lith.org or at Village Hall) and return it with your payment of $75 (business sponsors) or $50 (memory / honorary sponsors) to the Village of Lake in the Hills. Return your form with payment on or before October 31 for $10 off your sponsorship.
