LITH Police Reports: Drugs in Car; Found Bike; Lost License
A look at Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from the past week.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A look at recent arrest and crime reports made to the Lake in the Hills Police Department in recent days:
- Lake in the Hills police pulled over Shannon, L. Dean, 44, of Gilberts, on South Route 31 at Klasen Road in Algonquin, at 12:36 a.m. on Sept. 18. Dean, of the 400 block of Evergreen Circle in Gilberts, was cited for speeding 15 to 20 mph over the statutory limit and no valid driver's license. He was later released on bond.
- Nathaniel Chapwesk, 25, of the 900 block of Mesa Drive, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. on Sept. 18 on a McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear in court on a driving while license was revoked charge, according to the Lake in the Hills Police Department blotter. Bond was set at $3,000 for Chapwesk and he was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.
- Police responded to a three-vehicle crash at Lakewood and Miller roads at 7:38 p.m. on Sept. 18. Only property was damaged and no injuries were reported in the crash.
- Authorities made two arrests following a traffic stop on Route 31 at James R. Rakow Road in Crystal Lake at 10:14 p.m. on Sept. 19. Darren D. Karsten, 52, of the 0 to 100 block of Bright Oak Cricle in Cary, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police cited Sherri M. Head, 45, of the 0 to 100 block of Bright Oak Circle in Cary, for obstructing identification and driving while license was suspended. Both Karsten and Head were turned over to the McHerny County Jail.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at North Randall and Miller roads at 7:23 a.m. on Sept. 19. Only property was damaged and no injuries were reported in the crash.
- Police received a report of a bicycle that was found in the 6900 block of Rakow Road at 10:10 a.m. on Sept. 16.
- Authorities received a report of a driver's license that was lost in the 5700 block of Lucerne Lane at 4:10 p.m. on Sept. 16.
