LITH Seeks Judges for Holiday Lights Display Contest

The village of Lake in the Hills is seeking judges for its annual holiday lights contest.

Judging will take place on Dec. 15, 16 and 17 and those interested in serving as a judge can register for a spot on the holiday lights bus tour at 847-960-7460. Pre-registration with payment is required.

The bus will leave promptly from village hall at 6 p.m. The bus tour will take judges around to the sights and lights of those registered in this year’s holiday lights contest, according to a news release.

Meanwhile, those wishing to register their home or a neighbor’s home for the holiday lights contest can do so by calling 847-960-7460 through 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.

Winners will receive a gift certificate to a Lake in the Hills business. All registrants will have their address posted on the Village website. Categories will include: Best Rookie Award (first time entries only), Best Overall Display, and the Clark Griswold Award.
