Late Start Times Announced For Several Local Schools
And at least one local school district announced it would open.
Several local school districts are closed or opening late due to the weather while at least one announced it would open. The school closings listed below were updated at 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 23.
The following schools will open two hours late:
- District 303 in St. Charles
- Geneva District 304
- District 300
District 200 in Woodstock will be closed Wednesday.
Elgin Academy will open at 9:30 a.m. and Westlake Academy in Grayslake wil open at 9 a.m.
Elgin’s U-46 announced it would open with normal hours on Wednesday but parents should expect some possible delays from its buses, according to the U-46 Facebook page. As for District 46 in Grayslake, buses will be running 15 minutes late.
