Man Arrested for Fifth DUI After Following 3 Girls, Bumping 2 Cars on Randall
The Pingree Grove man was arrested in Elgin on Friday.

A 39-year-old Pingree Grove man has been charged with his fifth DUI after police said he followed three girls in their car, harassing them, and bumped two cars on Randall Road, according to the Daily Herald.
Brodie J. Murch, of the 700 block of Bristol Street, has been charged with aggravated DUI/fifth, resisting a police officer, aggravated DUI/license suspended or revoked, aggravated DUI/no valid insurance, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked license, according to Kane County Court records.
Police said the manager of an Elgin pizzeria called police on Friday afternoon after Murch followed three employees from Huntley to Elgin while he tailgated the vehicle, yelled at the girls and “generally frightened them,” according to the article.

Murch is accused of then bumping two cars on Randall Road before he was eventually pulled over on Route 20, the newspaper reports. Police found a mixed drink of cranberry juice and vodka in his car.
Murch remained in custody on a $30,000 bail.

Murch is next expected in court on Nov. 5.
