Man Charged With Trying To Lure Girl, 13, Over Snapchat

The 18-year-old Huntley man is accused of trying to seduce the child over the photo-sharing app, police said.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – An 18-year-old Huntley man is accused of using the social media app Snapchat to "seduce a child" and set up a sexual meet-up between the two, the Northwest Herald is reporting. Kyle J. Morgan, of the 9900 block of Chetwood Drive in Huntley, has been charged with grooming and traveling to meet a minor following his arrest on Saturday night. Police received a report from the parents of a 13-year-old girl at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday regarding Morgan's alleged attempts to set up a meeting for a sexual encounter with the girl, according to the Northwest Herald.

The parents allowed police officers to pose as their daughter to set up a meeting. Morgan was arrested after meeting police at Ol' Timers Park in Huntley at 10:17 p.m. Saturday, according to the Northwest Herald.

Morgan posted bond and was released from jail. He is next expected in court on July 25.
