MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 25-year-old Chicago man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for May 2016 home burglary in Lake in the Hills, prosecutors said. Tyree Marshall was found guilty of residential burglary following a negotiated plea before McHenry County Judge Michael Coopedge, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors said the Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to a home burglary that occurred while the residents were out of town in May 2016. The burglar entered through a window. Investigators found a palm print on an outside window frame and fingerprints on a piece of broken glass, according to authorities.

The palm and finger prints matched those on file for Tyree Marshall, prosecutors said.
